Information
Not too sure what to expect?
We're here to guide you through every step of the way.
The process
Booking and payment
If you’d like to meet before booking, we can catch up for a drink in-person or meet over video chat. Message us to book a time on our contact page.
Ready to book? You can check our availability and book directly through our contact page.
If the date you’re looking for isn’t available and you like our style, send us a message. Plans sometimes change, or we can recommend other photographers we think you’ll love.
To lock us in, complete the booking form and we will invoice you for the booking fee ($1,500). The remainder is due 2 weeks before the wedding.
Before the day
To make the day run smoothly, we’ll ask you to fill out a photo schedule and provide a run sheet if you have one. This helps us with the family portraits and tells us where to be if you’d like the pre-ceremony hours captured.
Suggested timing:
• 1 hour with each of you before the ceremony (if booking pre-ceremony hours).
• 30-45 minutes after the ceremony for guests to congratulate you and take family photos.
• 1-1.5 hours for couple photos. The best time of day for this is in the 2 hours before sunset.
• Include driving times between locations and allow some buffer time throughout the day.
Check out our blog for templates and more tips on timing.
We’re always available to answer questions at any stage of the process too.
On the day
On the day, we’ll be working hard to make sure everything run as smoothly as possible.
We will meet you at the first location according to your schedule, and usually stay until the reception formalities have finished up and the dancing has started.
We’ll give direction during portrait sessions and the traditional family photos. We like to capture everything in between in a candid, documentary style rather than staging posed shots. This way we capture events naturally as they unfold, so we can tell the story of your wedding in a way that reflects the two of you.
If you’ve booked us for the reception, we ask that you please include a meal for our crew. Just ask the venue to include ‘crew meals’. The best time for us to eat is the same time that you do (pics of guests eating aren’t usually very flattering!).
After the day
We’ll send your social media ready sneak-peak so you can show the world how fantastic your day was.
We’ll send you a link to your online gallery within 8 weeks of the day. There’s no time limit on how long you can access this for. This makes it easy for you to share photos and organise printing if you’re doing that yourself.
Check out an example of what your online gallery will look like.
Our style
Our style is natural and emotive - think lots of movement, fun and feeling.
It’s not too often that our favourite pics are the one’s sat stiff-lipped in front of the camera. Your wedding photos shouldn’t be any different.
Anthea worked in documentary photography for international not-for-profits for many years, and Lyndon worked in commercial video and TV. The combination of styles means your wedding photos and video will be candid, raw, and filled with emotion.
On the day, you mostly won’t even notice that we’re there.
Travel
Do we travel outside of Canberra for weddings? Absolutely.
Most of our weddings are in Canberra, country NSW, the Southern Highlands, Sydney and the South Coast. But we’ve worked across Australia and abroad including Thailand and Fiji.
