As Kangaroo Valley wedding photographers and videographers, we’ve worked in the region enough to know which venues are the best for a destination wedding. Kangaroo Valley Bush Retreat is one of our favourite wedding ceremony and reception venues, and is located between the Shoalhaven and Southern Highland regions in New South Wales. The venue’s on site accommodation includes 8 cabins and a spacious guest lodge, with room for up to 68 guests. By staying at Kangaroo Valley Bush Retreat you have exclusive access to the entire 100-acre property for the duration of your stay, and use of the all cabins and lodge accommodation. Outdoor activities that are available on site include hiking, volleyball and swimming in the private pool.

Kangaroo Valley Bush Retreat is located close by to Morton National Park, which offers spectacular lookouts, coastal views, bush tracks, native bush land and natural waterfalls like the picturesque Fitzroy Falls. Located in the northern section of Morton National Park, the Fitzroy Falls are the second largest in New South Wales plunging 81 meters over a sandstone plateau into the Yarrunga Valley. Pigeon House Mountain is one of the well known hikes inside Morton National Park.

The Kangaroo Valley Bush Retreat Ceremony Venue

Couples can choose between two beautiful outdoor locations for their ceremony venue; the Cathedral-like rock cavity or the deck with breathtaking views of Kangaroo Valley. Cathedral rock is a tropical gorge, surrounded by rainforest palms and sheer rock faces. The space is one of the most unique wedding ceremony venues not only in Kangaroo Valley, but across the Southern Highlands and South Coast of New South Wales. Another advantage of the venue is that you can hold your ceremony and reception at the same place, which means less travelling and more time with your family and friends on your wedding day.

The Kangaroo Valley Bush Retreat Reception Venue

The runction room adjacent to the main guest lodge offers an intimate setting for a wedding reception. Nestled in a clearing bordered by trees, the space had an outdoor woodland feel with the advantage of being protected from the weather. The function room has seating for up to 90 guests, and they can easily cater for larger guest numbers. The reception venue and covered pergola offers natural bush charm and warmth. The in house Caterer, Caterina, can provide food for guests in the newly built fully integrated commercial kitchen.
