The South Coast of NSW has some of the best wedding ceremony and reception venues in Australia. As Canberra wedding photographers and videographers we often travel to locations like Batemans Bay, Broulee, Mollymook and Ulladulla, Durras, Narooma, Berry, Nowra and Kiama. Some of our favourite wedding venues are Bawley Bush Retreat, Terrara House Estate, Merribee and Willow Farm. Many of the venues on the South Coast of New South Wales have so much character, charm and personality. Sophie and Luke’s wedding ceremony venue was pretty special though, because it was held on their families South Coast property in Durras. Sophie’s dad Phill did an amazing job during the year leading up to the wedding to clear a perfect spot for the ceremony. The boys in the bridal party helped build the wooden seating for the ceremony, and there were lots of vintage DIY details. The thunder and lightning was all around us but somehow we managed to mostly avoid it.

Sophie and Luke are just so in love.. like really, really in love. You can’t fake that kind of love, and we know because we’ve been to a lot of weddings. When you see the kind of emotion that Luke and Sophie have for each other, words aren’t enough to describe it. From the tears in Luke’s eyes when he saw his beautiful bride ride her vintage bike to the aisle with her dad, to Nick’s teary best man speech, it was an honest and heartfelt day. We hope these photos tell the story of that love and emotion. We wish Sophie, Luke and their 5 month old baby Maddison a lifetime of love and happy adventures!
