The Barn on Melross at Kangaroo Valley is widely regarded as one of the best wedding venues in the region and we would agree! The on site accommodation, the spectacular views, and the unique reception space make it the ultimate luxury venue in the countryside. The natural beauty of Kangaroo Valley provides the perfect backdrop for a wedding, and the beautiful country homes The Rye House and The Millet House provide accommodation for family. Having your wedding day at The Barn means you can supply your own catering and beverages, and you can style the venue to make it your own.
When your guests are travelling for a destination wedding even within a couple of hours from their home in Sydney or Canberra, it’s the perfect opportunity to spend an extra day either side of the wedding to catch up. James and Trish’s choice of wedding venue at The Barn on Melross, meant that they could stay with their close family and friends on the property for the whole weekend.
James and Trish walked through paddocks with us and took advantage of the beautiful landscape, and they didn’t let the rain stop them from adventuring. There are more rainy days than dry ones in Kangaroo Valley, which is why it’s so lush and green! The reality is that at the end of the day your wedding dress won’t look brand new like it just came out of the bag. The truth is that the more willing you are to adventure with us the better your photographs and video will be. Pack a pair of comfy shoes though – exploring is definitely less fun in high heels!
During the reception James sung Trish the same song that he sang to her when he proposed, but this time we all got to witness it. It was an honest moment, and just one part of an incredibly heartfelt day. Thanks to our assistant Gus from Ask Design for filming with us, and for providing the aerial footage.
